Cookie Policy
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. ResumePay uses only the cookies it needs to work: to keep you signed in, to protect your account, and to remember your language and time zone. We don’t use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or cookies that track you across other sites, and we don’t let anyone else set cookies on our pages.
The cookies we set
On a secure (HTTPS) connection, the sign-in cookies’ names begin with __Secure- or __Host-, which tells your browser to send them only over HTTPS.
| Cookie | What it’s for | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
authjs.session-token | Keeps you signed in. It holds an encrypted session, not your password. | 30 days after your last visit, or until you sign out |
authjs.csrf-token | Protects sign-in and sign-out against requests forged by other sites. | Until you close your browser |
authjs.callback-url | Remembers which page to return to after signing in. | Until you close your browser |
authjs.pkce.code_verifier, authjs.state, authjs.nonce | Only while signing in with Google: they make sure the answer that comes back from Google belongs to your sign-in. | 15 minutes |
rp-locale | Remembers the interface language you chose. | 1 year |
rp-tz | Remembers your time zone, so dates show in your local time. | 1 year |
These cookies are strictly necessary for the Service, or remember a choice you made, so they don’t need your consent under laws like the ePrivacy Directive. Product analytics, which you can switch on in Settings, don’t use cookies: they’re recorded on our servers against your account.
Other sites
When you buy points, you go to Stripe’s checkout page, which sets Stripe’s own cookies under its policy. When you sign in with Google, Google’s pages do the same. Employer sites you open from the Internships section have their own cookie policies.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser’s settings. If you block ResumePay’s sign-in cookies, you won’t be able to sign in; if you delete the language cookie, the interface falls back to your browser’s language.
